Still Fine and Dry

We Wellingtonians are kind of stunned - fine dry weather for nearly two weeks! Maybe a positive side to Global warming?

All of June and much of July were so grey and chilly and damp and dismal. See usually Wellywood gets a blast from the North, then a blast from the South, a blast from the North ...... only this had been all from the South. I mean - straight from the Antarctic.

The Northerlies started so good a couple of weeks back - blustery and dry and drying. Have been less drying but still good for the last few days.

Friday will be the last of it. With a forecast high of 17C I'm looking forward to it. My much ignored wilderness/aka garden is threatened with my presence in a few hours time.

Of course Zebbycat will supervise - until he gets bored or hungry again.

After the weekend's forecast soggy spell it may fine up again, and Mickle will have to think to use more sunblock than now, and to cover up with long sleeved and long legged clothing just as it all warms up. The NZ and Aussie sunshine really is as harshly burningly fierce as reported.

And Zebby will snoozle, snuggle and cuddle, and dream of lamb - raw or roasted, he's not fussy.

Hi, glad to see you are up and around. I was beginning to be a little concerned. You were a bit down last I heard and I was hoping you were not feeling worse. We have been having wonderful weather here, too. It has been in the 70s and we even had a nice rain day before yesterday. My flowers are very happy! Next week will be a scorcher, though.
Polly's friend is going to be married Sat. after next. I hope the weather cools down a little for that. It is a garden wedding and it would be nice if it was a little cooler for her sake. It is in the evening so which ever way, it will be beautiful. This week and next are filled with showers and parties. There was a kitchen shower, last evening, and there are several more to come. Polly is having a small party here, next week. Just dessert and sparkles.
What fun!

'Chelle, so glad you and Zebbycat have had some fine weather! I believe that weather accounts for half our moods...no rain, too much rain, to cold, too hot...we're being blessed with rain...2 days now...and 2 more days promised...I promise you, I am not complaining! We need it so badly...hope your weather holds and you and Zebby are wrapped in comfort!
hugs
Sandi

Hi Michelle, We too have had some sunshine for a couple of days, although its been very cold at night and early mornings.
Its good to know that you're up and about Michelle, I was beginning to worry.
I have been trying to tackle my overgrown garden, but can only manage a little each day before my back tells me to stop. It is soooo neglected, nothing has been done since long before I had my hip-op and nothing since Feb. So you can imagine what a mess it is. Now I'm on the "waiting list" to see the Spinal Clinic. Maybe have to have some of the discs fused. Ughhh!!
Keep well, enjoy the lovely sunshine. PRrrh to Zeb and Huggs to you
