My Nepali Sherpa liked to have his Dal Bath accompanied with chicken (on special occasions), despite being a vegetarian. Chicken is no meat, as he explained to me.
Cheers for the good wishes, the "bomb" has passed us now, we were without power for around 12 hours, but no worries, well prepared this time. Can't get out much yet as we become an island in flooding - can't even get to see my moos as the high ground I put them is out of sight of house, maybe later the river will drop. am desparately hoping all our flax bushes planted to stabilise the banks last weekend are still in place! Batten down your hatches, as I'm afraid its heading your way!

In France, vegetarians often get offered quiche - with ham, bacon or chicken in it. There's not very much meat, honest.
Squid!!!! What's that then a root vegetable! Bon weekend. Debs x
And Chorizo, a spiced pork sausage, is of course a legume.
Huggles to Liz and Debs xx

How the heck do chooks (chickens) survive, let alone thrive and grow flesh at that altitude? Guess they have "no meat"
