That washing machine keeled over again on Friday. Today it has been fixed with the installation of a new balance switch. Woohoo - I don't need to buy a new washing machine!
Monday has been a glorious Summer day with sunshine and a moderate breeze. Hooray from Mickle and Zebbycat

Hello Mickle
Now that is good news after all - theres still life left in the old dog lol
Sounds like the weather man is being good for you. Have you managed to surface from the couch (or wherever) yet? Mornings can be a problem for me sometimes - have to open the curtains as soon as I wake or I slip back into the land of nod and am cactus for the rest of the day
Wonderful news about the washer, Michele! Who needs to put money in appliances at Christmas? Hugs to the Zebbycat!
Sandi, the Stooges and Pye
Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!
The Man tried to start his lovely new vehicle in -34C this morning. Guess what.
I had to buy both a new washer and dryer AND a new freezer late last year...horror of horrors, did that ever take a lot of my savings - then I found out I was losing my job.
Hugs to you and the super cat.
When you can fix something with just a simple part, it's a great day indeed! When my old freezer kicked the bucket 2 years ago, and I got a new one, the delivery man warned me that I wouldn't get 19 years out of the new one, as I had out of the old one. Thus, I am leery of spending hundreds for new appliances, especially when Zebby or Thor would much prefer a nice steak!
Hi Michelle, For a moment I thought you had blogged about ME !! :-)
Best time here to buy new appliances is after the festive season. Best of all, you dont need to.
Cheers to both yourself and Zeb.
Glad the technology is still hanging in there. Our washing machine died a couple of years back and it;s real pain to get a new one when you're up 3 flights of stairs. Luckily John Lewis will deliver most anywhere! Lxxx
Liz - I threatened it with the prospect of replacement by a front loader!
Service bods are never aware that my place is down 4 flights of the demon steps!!!
Umpty something huggles from me - darling Zebster is attacking his quilt once more. I think I should ask Herself about purchasing synthetic batting and shower curtain fabric ..........
Marjie - I'm going to be brave and tell you that my Folks bought a big chest freezer in about 1973/4 and it is still going. In recent years they had all the rubber seals replaced, otherwise it is working fine.
Now finding anything in it when you're short like me is another matter. Our dear Mum didn't pass on her height to me or to Liz!
And even Liz has at least 1/2 an inch advantage over me - so I remain the shorter daughter, LOL.
Great news! I am jealous of your coming into the summer when we are heading into winter.
