Ah, August

The days are getting a little longer and new growth is appearing in my wilderness - like the arum lily that has self-sewn itself in the middle of the parsley patch!

The first flowers are opening on the grape hyacinths. They will deepen to an almost purple-blue.

And the lawn-mowing service has just visited so "His Rotundity" has to hunt more to find long grass to munch upon.

Determined hunting activity (moving forward by one foot) delivers a tasty treat. You've got to have your greens.

Back inside Zebby can work off the excess energy on his new scratching board. This board is way more fun than clawing at the curtains - and His human doesn't yell at him either.

Mind you, she's still not keen on the Zebster "poke her in the face" wake-up method!

Your spring arriving is bad news for us, that means autumn is is on its way here. Not good especially when I realise it is for me, back to the UK for winter. Something I do not look forward to:-(

Love Zebby's scratching post. Luv to you both. Diane

You've got a nice lot of parsley there Michelle, could make a lot of tabouli with that. I can barely see the flowers on my grape hyacinths yet, soon though.

Oh hyacinths remind my of my grandmother - We don't have any - thanks for sharing yours.

Love the new scratching post! g

My oldest son got a kitten this summer. His roommate brother griped about the kitten waking up the wrong brother to play at 6AM. But now kitten and brother have moved for grad school, and the kitten (Winston) is missed. Except at 6AM.

Yeah! Your gain in light nights is our loss in darker ones! :-(
Just come back from a week away. It is good to see my little rabbit again.

Oh Zebby is simply adorable (even if he does punch you awake in the morning - grin). Oh, made your courgette spread the other day - it's great! I still have a jar of it in the fridge - cheers for that!

Hey there,

I have to wrap my head around the fact that my summer is your winter. I guess things can't be too bad there however if you are sprouting new growth.

Love to you and Zebbycat.
