Brrrrr - and it isn't even Winter yet

"Heavy snow, rain and severe gales are predicted to top off a week of icy weather this weekend.

The MetService has issued a severe weather warning for southerly gales, heavy snow and heavy rain around the country.

A low was expected to bring heavy rain in the coastal hills of the Wairarapa, southern and eastern slopes of the Tararua Ranges, and Wellington."

Okay, M'dears, seldom snows in Wellington City, and wont this time around. Yes - snow in other places and way, way earlier than usual. Ski fields have gone from delight to avalanche fear.

Still - the super cold wind and awful weather continues and it isn't even Winter yet!!!!!

Mickle and Zebbycat snuggled down, very appreciative of each other's body warmth and utterly fed up with this lingering cold snap that will linger for at least another 3 days.

The Sub- Antarctic wind chill isn't appreciated!!!!

We're reserving our energy so no purrs or snores from either of us. Snuggling, cuddling down.....

Maybe I should drop by. I kind of missed winter completely. All I remember is seating in Mumbai, when everybody was moaning about this hard, cold, endless and harsh winter.

Dear Gomad, and then you went to Mexico.

There you were in much heat, yet you got to experience many chills, super high fever and coughing from the nasty Flu.

Dearest Gomad, special friend, sit back and enjoy supping on the contents of Tono's new wine storage toy.

p.s. - I am so,so envious of your getting to celebrate the Divine Stella's birthday WITH the Divine Stella. And remember - it isn't even Winter here yet!!!!!!

Poor Zebbycat! Get that lovely kitty some longhandles (long johns?) and maybe a pair of silk ones for you! Wrap up warm and snuggle down deep...if it's already that cold, what will winter bring????

Dear Sandi

Zebbycat does very well in cold times - I am his Human "hot water bottle". Zeb tucks legs and paws into or under the soft warm parts of me, at last a use for my DD cup boobs!

love, care and huggles, Michelle/Mickle

word veri is "hootio" LOL

I could have used your headline and just changed it to 'summer yet'.

We've been having snow here too dear friend. And it isn't even summer yet. We are despairing that we will get a summer.

Reading the 'Antartic cold' just kinda blows my mind. I just can't envision it - yet we have the 'Artic cold'. Talk about opposite ends of the earth!

How be you dear friend? (besides the cold)

We have had a couple of gloriously sunny days, mid 20's. but some rain on the way. It will help keep the mushrooms to come up for a while. Our little farm sits on top of one of the highest peaks in the Mt. Lofty Ranges, so we too get the southerlies winds from the Antarctic, but not as severely as you. It rarely snows here, and if it does the snow usually melts before it hits ground. I hope you have a nice fire to keep yourself and Zeb warm.
I found in one of your answers, something else we have in common!!

Aims - Snow still, dear friend? No wonder you fled from Alberta down to New Orleans for Xmas and New Year.

Toasty - after such a rotten winter in the Norhtern Hemisphere you deserve all the good weather you can get. Could you send some to Alberta, Canada?

Olive - you do get very harsh weather extremes in South Aussie.

We don't have a fireplace in my wee one bedroomed home - but we do have a snuggly beddybise. I have a lovely wool filled doona (duvet to the non-Aussie world) that is UNDER the sheets. And quilts made by dear Mum on top.

Then Zeb's assortment of: a polar fleece rug, fluffy scarves he's pinched from me, cast off sheepskin car seat (the back part of it) from the folks, .....his soft toys.....

Dear Blogworld Friends - you can see that it is just as well that I don't have Children........ much laughter, sending care, Mickle xxxxx

Dear John.g. - nope, is Aussie hogging all the late autumn warmth!!

btw - your Dad's garden is looking just glorious. Either Blogger ate my comment or Zebbycat was sitting on the keyboard after I'd written a comment on the Rhodies and Azaleia. Love to have a (large sized ) cuppa in your conservatory looking out on your Dad's back garden.

And rude words (choose your own) to your county's Rugby team coming second in the rugby Heinekin cup final. xxxxx Mickle
