Sorry for the absence, blog friends. I'm feeling flattened after learning that a cousin and 2 dear bloggy friends are each coping with a diagnosis of cancer. Another darling friend is coping with a sudden death of another and is also under going an assortment of medical tests to determine just what the heck is causing their own health problems.
The cousin and friends all live overseas. SO there is a bit much going on in my mind for blogging just now.
I can report that the new cupboard was assembled on Sunday, is in place and has been filled - hooray, a something positive!
Take care, everyone.

I can't remember who said that in the midst of life we are in death...you know all we can do to help our friends in such dire straits is to be there for them, offer a comforting word and hold out a hand. I'll bet that's what you are doing and if we have to do without your company for a bit while you aid and comfort, well sweetie, we would be so blessed to have such a friend as you are.
hugs
Sandi
Dear Sandi, thanks - you dear sweet Woman. Distance is my real frustration at the moment as all those affected are in the Norhtern Hemisphere. Thank you for your thanksgiving posts this month, they mean so much.
You too have a friend here, with care and huggles,
Michelle and Zebbycat (waiting for his human to hurry up and come to bed, he's even warming up my side!)
My dear Michelle, a million miles away...I am so sorry to hear of all the losses with which you are having to deal at this time. I wondered why there had been nothing from that beautiful area of the world! I missed the purrs of Zebbycat and figured she must be down deep under the covers.
I send you lots of love, my friend.
Hope all went well and to your sufficience! Havei a great we. Propz Pilgrim
Dear Michelle, So sorry to hear you are trying to cope with such sad news. I hope that your friends get some comfort from your loving thoughts.
Take care, Hugs to you and Zeb.
Sorry you have such sorrows piling on you right now. Wish you were here, so you and Zeb could come for chicken soup and drools from Thor!
Take your time, we can wait.
Hello Mickle
Every now and again life comes up and boots you unexpectantly in the bum - we fall but we get up again. I know you will get up again after this stumble - take your time and remember we'll all be here waiting for you
Nice to see you drop by - that little bird was new to me (doesn't frquent our partof the state) but I seem to remember a lot of chirping as he flitted around. And yes Wiki does suggest he's part of the fantails - the other link (birds in backgarden is a good one as well)
Take care
Cathy
Sorry you are feeling bad about it all Mickle.
Don't worry about me. I shall be OK.
(I assume I am one of the ones that you are worrying about.)
Seeing as all this devastation is coming from the Northern Hemisphere....... maybe you are glad you are in the South!
Dear little Zebby...... stroke him for me.
Nuts in May
And my dear dear friend. I don't think I have found anyone as kind as you.
Your thoughts have helped make the tears not so hot while they are still heavy and filled with sadness.
Today was hard. Very hard.
However - my dear friend who's furry companion makes my heart ache for wishing for my own dear furriness - I too will be OK.
Thank you so much for your caring. There is truly no-one like you.
I love you very much. I hope you know that.
My dear Mickle, I'd been thinking of you these last couple of days and feeling something might be wrong...here's a snuggle warm hug from me to you so you can feel that you are not alone when life throws mean things around you. Take care, dear friend.
