I've been Linuxed!

Laptop #2 is unwell on its Windows side, so it will be heading up to Tauranga to dear Dad for him to mutter over and also check its Linux operating system too. In the meantime I'm back on my original PC, fully rebuilt, souped up and running on Linux.

This had been a massive learning curve which is good for my brain*. Tonight I finally managed to upload and save photos from my camera (woohoo) so am back in full-on blogging mode.

Above is a shot of my darling Zebster from Summer. Right now he is snuggled under his quilty and dreaming of Summer and raw lamb for dinner, bless the lad.

So, next on offer will be Mickle style Ginger Beer - now I can post the photos.

(* the little grey brain cells are already ticking over with the system data issues I have to solve at work - Linux will keep them running at the same rate when I'm at home!)

I have always run Linux for my blog. The only thing I really miss from the dark side is my old jigsaw program.

I am typing this with one hand as Sprocket is asleep on my other one :)

You have to be careful of those pesky little Linuxes - they'll get out of hand if you let them. You should feed them "Apples" to tame them.

Dear Priscilla - the Linuxes have so far proved to be Mickle proof - unlike windows (we hold our breath here, and be polite because of the workplace where I have to use the window/panes/pains)

Apples and Linuxes = very different beasties, yet both are nice beasties (e.g. - not likely to ferocious attacks!!!)

As long as Linux lets us hear from you and Zebby, we're happy! Like Poirot, I'm a fan of working the little grey cells.

I know I left a message & have just come back to check. Blogger has been gobbling up comments just recently.
Hope we are back to normal now.
Give Zebcat a hug!

Dear Maggie - blogger has indeed been unwell. I knew I'd received 9 comments (with thelkast being from your dear and much loved self) but it has taken a long, long time for all the comments to return.

Other blogs I visit were missing complete posts. Fingers crossed that all is well with blogger - and with dear Maggie and Harry,

XXX Michelle

I so miss my desktop which died several months back...there was no resurrecting it. I'm using my ancient laptop which is now on its last days. Two years ago, before the job loss and retirement, I would just have gone out and gotten a fancy new one with all the bells and whistles...ah, no more!! Yikes.

I was getting all uptight and frustrated with stupid Windows hanging up,crashing and saying that so-and-so window was "not responding", so I went to the doctors and he said the only way to cure my Window(s) Pain was to change to Linux. So I did and now the Pain has gone, and Linux is so much better and quicker; and no more hang-ups!

Can't seem to get my head round Gimp though. . .
