Hi Michelle, In my big Readers digest dictionary it quotes,"many a mickle makes a muckle"....." many a pickle makes a mickle"........couldn't help myself!!

Now the verification word to post this comment is ..viabable, must check that one out too.

I found that fascinating, finding out more about the word mickle! I shall be doing my own research on it now!
Thanks for your kind comments over at mine!

Dear Maggie - I so enjoy you writing, especially the monthly tales.

Re mickle: I've heard various sayings over the years.... but for me Mickle was a pet name my Mother chose. Mum and my immediate family still use it sometimes. Mickle developed from the nickname they already used and still do of Mick.

Mick, Mickle, Mickie - I'm happy with any of these. And my actual name of Michelle is okay too.

I do loathe Shell or Shelley (shudder)!

Hi there! This was a fun read. It must bring you smiles to have so much fun with your nickname.

Now that I am getting back online, I was just sitting here catching up with you. that is so cute that Zebby love the smell of chloriene. I wonder why it makes him so happy. I haven't figured out all the things about Kekoa yet, though I have learned that he loves to lick my legs after I put lotion on. Oh and he can smell pizza on my hands for hours after I have eaten even though I wash my hands.

Have a blessed and wonderful day.

my name isn't even half that exciting!

Dear Maria

A very sincere Happy Easter

because it is very much

Christ is risen

Truely he is risen.

True confession - I'm not that hot on Michelle. However, as first born (my only sibling), moved onto her second name as preferred name upmpty something years ago........

Michelle is okay - if pronounced like on NZ, Aussie and US tv. The Meeeeshell, faced in a South London insurance office back in late 1987, is completely and absolutely unacceptable. Any calling me that will be ignored.

Meanwhile in Wellington - mild and gentle for an Autumn

Joy, is a joy to be in blogtouch with you. Check out those crabapples, maybe get the popular neighbour gnome Husband out to help pick before all are to ripe

Prepare your self and new hip for the stirring of the Crab apples and wot ever else has been left.

Dear Mickle, Thanks for your very kind thoughts, old Popeye did pick me a bucket full of c/apples yesterday before the 'mad mob' descends today to pick the remainder (I hope)
The hip is Ok if I take it easy and not move too quickly, but it gets very frustrating not to be able to do my garden.
Remember Michelle, a nickname is a term of fondest endearment. I don't have one except for the one I gave myself for the Blog. Does that mean nobody loves me? :-(
Thats a joke of course.

Hi you. Thanks for sharing! Wasn't the dog fight/bait thing just hideous last week??? I see they have the parstard responsible - hope they throw the book at him. Poor Lincoln, do hope he manages to recover.
