Sniffs Good?

Are there any particular aromas that drive your four legged friend/s crazy? I'm talking beyond the obvious anything stinky for dogs and catnip for cats.

Yes Zebby loves catnip, will hug, beat up and then wash his catnip toys. But his favourite smells are:

  • Mickle's hands after I've been chopping vegetables, especially celery. I get smooched and lovingly gnawed upon

  • Fabric Softener, given the chance he drags wet washing off the drying rack and rolls around on it so it has to be washed again

  • and Chlorine Bleach. This he's truely adores.

Yesterday afternoon I attacked the mould in the bathroom while Zebster snoozled. Well, was he a happy lad last night. He spent much of the evening hanging out in there, smooching up to the supercleaned surfaces. LOL, at least I knew where I'd find him.

This morning he thanked me by resting his chin on my head, his snout in my ear and purring raucously.

Aren't four leggeds strange. My Min Pins love to snuggle up in a pile of dirty washing. YUK.

They also love the smell of us both when we have freshly showered.

They also like the small of warm rubber - not the tyres of a Harley Davidson but a hottie warming the bed :)

Hi F,

wouldn't dare try a hottie with Zeb. He is happy enough to include a claw in his loving outreaches and puncture my skin. No hottie would last.

Today he did have a lovely time after I'd been chopping onion carrot and celery for soup. Rubbing his face all over my left hand and gnawing on my fingers. Later garlic and potato appealed, but not as strongly.

I'm sure the Min Pins are just adoring the scent of their humans on the dirty washing.

Love to you and more smuggled hugs to Dr Q

(its okay, Zeb is facing away from the screen)

Button too loves to smell my hands when I've been chopping veg. She goes nuts when she smells herbs on my hands (any herbs) and reacts just like she does with catnip. I have to remove hands to keep them intact! However she also loves rolling in disgusting stuff, and last night she smelled of cow poo - yuck!

I envy you a snuggle with Zeb - Button is not a cuddle cat, though she loves a fuss when she's in the mood, just not near enough for a real snuggle!
