Brrrrrrrrrr

It is unusually cold here for Spring, with a sub-antartic blast chilling everything. Zebby started by snuggly down on his quilt. The holes and bits of stuffing sticking out are all his own work ( I'm so proud!).

Next he buried his nose, paws and tip of his tail in one of his (!) fluffy scarves. But that still wasn't snuggly enough so........

Under his quilt he went. Happily stayed there for several hours, having a wash, a happy purrumble and a darned good snore. Only emerged for tummy-top-ups.

(Yes, we've all been shocked here by the Earthquake and Tsunami that hit Samoa, American Samoa and Northern Islands of Tonga. The Tsunani was down to .5 of a metre high by the time it got here, but many lives were lost up in these islands.

While I live in earthquake country I am safe from Tsunami - my place is at least 600 feet above sea level)

Ahhhh! Zebb's pics are so cute! It is amazing what they do to keep warm even covered in fur.

We are looking at snow for the next couple of days. What autumn? after what summer?

So glad that your neck of the woods was untouched by the recent events, Michele. And Zebby...what a character! Hope the Zebbycat stays toasty all winter long!

It's getting colder here. Thor approves of Zebby's efforts to personalize his quilt. And he is so proud that Zeb has claimed scarves for his very own! Thor thinks that since a Mastiff and a cat are both very small animals *cough choke* they both need to have good snuggly places. And cheers for the tummy top!

Glad you are high enough to be safe from tsunamis, and I hope the earthquakes didn't upset Zebbycat's routine too much. Thor would cry over them.

Hi Michelle, Here in Adelaide it has been freezing cold too, even colder on top of the hills surrounding. Looks as if this is one of those years that we will still be lighting the fire at Christmas time.

Zeb looks very cosy in his nice warm bed.

Sandi - he's Winter cosy here in Springtime. We're already on daylight saving. Ah, silly me - it's the spring school holidays so of course the weather is crap!

Good to hear that you are ok and living above the sea level.

And it is so nice to see Zebby cat making the most of the "snugness" available :)

Ahh, my dear friends, try a close up on the fabric that I made the pillow cases from ... yes, has cats on it. A cotton fabric that just happened to have a kittycat pattern printed on it. This is a lovely cotton to make pillow cases from, as is most good cotton quilting fabric.

Such a choice in Canada and the US, do enjoy sewing pillow cases (as Xmas presents!).

Happy Sewing - when you're not cooking and relaxing - xxxxx Mickle and Zeb

Dear Zebby. What a good life he has and his quilt does look very snuggly.

Are you sure, your house could not slide down the slope and then be hit by the tsunami?

the tsunami was very sad news indeed

keep warm under those quilts...

The Oregon Coast was under a tsunami warning during the worst of it, but nothing ever came to pass. So sad.

I'm glad that Zebby found a comfy spot! Aren't cats just the masters at picking just the right spots to take a nap!
