May already - who did that?

It is sometimes hard to tell it is Autumn here as many plants stay green all year round

One shot to the left and you can see the mad zucchini still going in the distance.

My baby spinach plants are growing, slowly and steadily ...

... as are the cauliflowers and broccoli.

Here is a picking of the Greek Oregano I raised from seed back in December - the aroma is glorious and the flavour delicious (I used this in bread)

A touch of Autumn as the Hydrangea flowers darken ...

... and whatever this is bursts into flower.

Yet the nastertiums from Summer continue to remind me of sunshine. I've had a brilliant crop of seed heads from these which I've pickled - called "Poor Man's Capers" by some but I relish their peppery bite in it's own right.

Zebbycat snoozles away the day, keeping warm and cosy, and no doubt dreaming of food. I'm already thinking what to grow in Springtime while dreaming up comforting dishes to make over Winter, dishes that are delicious and "Mickle innards" friendly!

I love the photos of things that are growing in your garden. Everything looks so exotic to me. (except for the cabbages and things!)
Zebby cat sounds a bundle of fun...... sleeping and sleeping and sleeping..........

I'm waiting for temperatures over 50F so I can plant my garden! It's just been too flippin' cold! I'll be continuing to make comfort dishes, so you can divide them by 10 and enjoy them!

Huggles and drools to you and Zebby,

Marjie and Thor

It looks just beautiful in your yard and garden. I wish I could come over for dinner. I've had a lovely weekend. My middle son, Alex, got married at a beautiful little winery in the Sacramento area. The festivities were wonderful and I finally have the daughter I've always wanted! Check out my blog for photos.

Wow, you've got quite a bit growing there! I hope to get my garden planted toward the end of this month. Last Fall, I ripped up the one and only greek oregano I had because it was taking over the garden. Plus, the flavor of the leaves was getting too strong. Well, lo and behold I must have missed some of it because it's come back somehow. Not only that, but the leaves are the tender mild variety again. Sending chin scratches and ear rubs to Zebby. :-)

wonderful post - your garden looks so happy and content!

we are having a terribly hot spring (it's 30 degrees right now!) - it is overly warm right now, and no one has their mind on work; the sea looks much more tempting!

You are so lucky to have a verdant, green landscape all year round! You certainly look to have very green fingers - there is nothing so satisfying or as tasty, as home grown produce, is there? Give Zebbycat a cuddle from me!
