Keyboard vs. Mug full of Tea

Mmmmm, yes, the Tea won, so at home I have been lacking a functioning keyboard for a couple of days. Okay, confess is deceased keyboard #3 to go with #2 (tea once more). Must throw them out.

Ex-keyboard #1 I stuffed up back working for AXA in 2001 by accidentally feeding it yoghurt smoothie. It was a very yummy smoothie I was looking forward to drinking! The techy lads there were very nice and just chucked #1 out and gave me a new keyboard.

Happy to report after demise of #3KB, the actual crockery mug survivied. A fine mug from the "Art Meet Matter Ltd" range featuring the colouring and text from the original Pelican & Penguin Books, "THINKING TO SOME PURPOSE" L. Susan Stebbing one shilling and sixpence. Pressie from my Dear Sis.

Phone call from Dear Friend Jane and ...........I'm back now and I need to email some tea info to the Dear Jane. Incidentally the tea I spilt was a very pleasant Marsala Chai, (black tea, cinnamon bark, cardamom, ginger root, cloves, black pepper) in a tea bag made up with hot water, milk and sugar, that I love drinking at home. Can only occassionally drink this one at work as my dear boss loathes the smell of cardamom. Having written that...

Many thanks to kind and amazing boss, Carolyn - today she not only found an old keyboard for me to take from work, but dear Carolyn cleaned it up for me too. It works really well.
Cardamom containing tea already hidden in "the scent can't escape this" container in desk at work.
Maybe I need a liquid proof cover for any keyboard?
Need to be baking tomorrow evening so maybe nowt more from me until the weekend
Huggles and care,
Mickle and Zeb

Hi You!

Just managed to lock myself away, and catch up on your blogs!!! And I find you have been tipping good tea into your keyboard - bad girl. Tea + Keyboard = :-(

Glad you were able to be fixed up quickly with a replacement. Go easy on those liquids.

My pc is gone to the docs as of yesterday (using the laptop now) has been playing up for ages - yesterday it finally spat the dummy and died, I spent ages resurrecting it long enough to do some urgent backing up (lessons there) and took it back to Harvey Normans where I got it from - lovely chap informed me I had taken out extended warranty so all being well (not result of dodgey software download) it will be restored without cost. TG for extended warranties - that's twice now (DVD recorder) they have paid their way. Laughed over your ref. to those good old Australian womens weekly cookbooks - have got quite a few meself - still use the Cakes & Slices all the time, but alot of the others are pretty much entertainment value only! Did you see Jamie Oliver on fat etc the other night bleeeeugh but good on him. We went to 15 for lunch when we had to go to Melbourne in May - awesome!!!! Got a signed menu into the bargain, and that perky lad, Toby was on duty.

Nice to see some sun today, have been sowing seeds for new veggie garden the lad is constructing. Hope you have had some too!

xx

Yes, less wet here now, altho is a raining a bit right now.

Just had a decent look at the calendar. Daylight Saving starts from Sun Sept 28th - Arrrggh. It goes until the weekend after Easter next April.

Off to snuggle down with the pur-ball. I hope the lad is healing well. Snuggles and huggles to all up at your place, xx.

I'm constantly eating fruits thus all keyboards exposed to me are rather filthy. I'm slowly killing them.
