Yes, on Sunday evening I finished knitting AND sewed off/in all the ends of yarn for the scarf I've been working on. To reiterate for yarn fiends - knitted on UK size 10 needles, a beautiful 100% bamboo yarn, in a half rib stitch.
I've made this for my sister's partner, P . Dear Sis and P will be here at the start of next month. Yes - of course have a yarn based item for Sis too. No more info coz she reads my blog too!
Now can get back to the other 2 knitting projects plus the new one - fingerless mittens I'm making for me.`
BTW - Zebby loathes my knitting needles, attacks them should I be knitting when he is awake.... so not often then?
I'm working on it..........

Wow, you are a whizzzz. It seems like you just started with the bamboo a short time ago.
Ups, I haven't been knitting for 23 years...
Good for you! That is an accomplishment. I personally have no patience for that sort of crafting and admire those who can do it. Can we see a picture of your work?
You asked me about sending a video your way or posting it of Pippin's Uganda trip. Unfortunately it is too long for me to do that way. However, if you care to send me your mailing address I can mail you a copy of her DVD if you like.
Isn't the bamboo yarn wonderful?!?! I love it. Have you tried knitting with circular needles? No bouncing needle ends to entice your roommate.
Priscilla - it made slow progress until Easter. I've then whizzed along to finish it before Sis and P arrive in NZ on about June 2nd....and other yarn called to me but I ignored it.... mostly.
Gomad - Wow, did you learn to knit in School, Scouts or Military service? Dear Sister gave me a DVD titled "Real Men Knit"!
Jules - hope to post a picture of the new owner wearing it in a couple of weeks or so - he may look a little jetlagged as they are flying from England direct - no stopovers. I don't have a digital camera, but the folks and P do. What a kind offer - will email you soon.
Mary - a bought a set of interchangable circulars a couple of weeks back. Loving using them. Zebbycat unimpressed!
Mitten progress - close to finishing the first one (knitted on a circular needle - my first attempt using the magic loop method).
I am so glad that you have finished this, cause now you could maybe start on one for me? LOL...I'm sure that P will love it!
Sandi
Sandi - you never know your luck!
...... I thought a bamboo yarn was kind of appropriate given P is a carpenter (with a Fine Arts Degree in painting).
The data typist taught me knitting in the coffee break. I made one scarf. I was there for an apprenticeship. I had to learn something...
