Family and Family Likenesses

On the right, dear Dad (alarmed at being caught in a photo), on the left his dear brother, Phil.
And in the middle, their dear cousin, Sue.

Dad and Phil outside with Mum over on the left

Going round from the top left:
Mickle, Mum, Phil, Dad*, Phil's daughter's Beth and Amanda, and sister Liz in front of me
And don't attempt to look for hair colour likenesses between the sisters/cousins - its all augmented!!!
-
The two brothers - aren't their ways of standing and expressing themselves so alike.
-
*Sadly Dad and Phil's middle brother, David, died when in his mid fifties. He was not only my uncle but also my God Father. Sue's brother, David, died in his twenties. I never knew him but, my goodness, he had the family resemblance too.

Hello Mickle
Nice one of all of you, I love family photos:)
Tell you what tho', there's a distinct resemblence 'tween you and your cousin Beth? - the one on the other end of the row to you. Her eyes are slightly smaller (maybe deeper set is what I mean) than yours but you both have the same style of mouth
Take care
Cathy

Dear Cathy -

a few years back in telephone yaks to dear Liz (she lives in England) the line wasn't always clear, I would get a weird "playback" of my own voice - only to me I sounded just like Beth!!

Whenever I'm staying up with the Folks and answer their phone I always say "Hello, this is Michelle" - otherwise people think it is dear Mum and start on a conversation that I am completely clueless about!!

Sister and self would sound alike if she hadn't spent the last 23 years based in South London. Our gestures, expressions and ways of talking are very similar now, but just NO WAY with our accents.

The consonants still exist in the middle of words I . The same sounds have so disappeared from darling Liz (Bottle vs Bo'ile).

Dear Cathy - apologies for raving on so much, much care and love to you, Michelle xxx and a mildly snoring Zebbycat.

What a lovely family! I'm just getting around to catching up with blog reading and was delighted to find these wonderful photos! It looks like all of you had a great time and enjoyed being together - that's the most special and precious part of all. So happy you all could gather and have this joyful time together!!!! Love and hugs!!
