Jewels from my garden

Gale force winds last week lashed at my hydrangea and broke a branch off, but at least I could enjoy the broken branch's blooms inside for a few days

Harvested on Sunday, the radish leaves went into soup (thanks Marjie) and the lush globes will be in salads this week

Hi Michelle! I've been away from blogging for a while - the move and getting settled took a lot out of me! Now we're in the midst of snow, snow, snow - so it was wonderful to admire your lovely pictures which represent WARMTH and SUNSHINE!!! I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and that the new year is off to a great start for you! It all went entirely too fast for me! I've missed you, and have thought of you and and your adorable purr-ball so often! Love and hugs, Janet

Greeings, Michelle...what a beautiful color your hydrangea is!!! And the radishes look good enough to eat which I am sure you did in short order!!!

Your hydrangea are beautiful, and those radishes look great, too. My hydrangea turned blue after we put tree fertilizer around the tree next to it, but not that vivid a color!

My verification word is "grammer". Are they telling us something about teaching?

Very impressive indeed. I will have to send you a pic of this year's chilli crop to try to match your lovely radishes. Liz x

Yes, the weather has been a bit of a trial and definitely hard on the garden. Nice looking radishes!

Oh I love the blue Hydrangeas. You must have acid soil. We can only grow pink in this part of the country unless they are treated with aluminium sulphate.

We have had mire snow but not until I got back from the hospital so I don't mind.
Give Zebby a cuddle from me.

Nuts in May

You have hydrangea!!!!!

I'm so jealous! I am!!

I have silk ones - from my mother in a vase that was my grandmother's. They are that colour. I adore them.

It's too cold to grow them here and I do just love them!

The radishes - oh my! They look fantastic!

Jewels indeed! There is nothing so sweet as that which you grow from scratch, is there? And the wind blew that branch down for you, because she knew you couldn't bear to pick it all for yourself (smile).
