Our Mid-Winter's Day got to a balmy, barmy 16C (61F). In this next shot I was lucky enough to capture one of the Cook Strait Ferries coming into the harbour:
Next, here I've gone back to the view to the south-east, the view from partway down the demon steps. That's the Pacific ocean over on the left. Those beautiful, semi- clear skies led to a chilly night.
So you know where Zebbycat was, don't you - yes, under His quilty-comforter for a few hours of purring, washing, snoring and a scratch or two. Despite me covering him up well his tail escaped!

You live in an AMAZING place. What beauty!
You have some beautiful views! And you clearly live in a more temperate climate than we, since I've never seen the Dec. 21 (our shortest day) where it was even close to as warm as your cold was. Does that make sense? Now you and Zebby can count the days to spring; just please don't remind me that summer is ticking on here!
Oh Mick. How I love where you live! I know you realize that you are surrounded by beauty and I thank you for taking these and posting them. It's made my heart soar to see my dearest friend living in such beauty.
Of course - that beauty is shared by your counterpart once in a while when he goes out to sunbathe - leaving behind his beloved quilt!
You are so lucky to have both. Beauty that surrounds you and beauty in the love of your precious rescue cat.
I have always wanted to visit NZ but don't think there is much chance of it now. The closest I have got is Ozz as my sister-in-law lives there. We have said unless we win the lottery and can afford to fly 1st class we will never go there again. I am not comfy in economy but my 6'4" husband cannot even sit properly.
There are a whole list of things I can do if that lottery ticket came up!!!!
Love zebbycat's tail sticking out.

Beautiful views! xx
Seeing your pictures makes me realise how much I miss Wellington's marvelous views, kind of makes me want to move back there. When I lived there the rubbish guys used to come down the steps and collect the rubbish, was fantastic as you didn't have to remember to put the rubbish etc out.
Beautiful shots :)
It is beautiful where you live and you are so lucky to have blue skies in the winter. We never have that and it wouldn't ever be 16C at that time of the year.
Yet in spite of all that...... Zeb cat needs his fleece!
